"wisdom courage strength" Look what I won!

Yepp! I was one of the lucky winners over on Kelly Rae Roberts  blog! She had a sponsorship giveaway and I was one of the lucky winners!! I won this beautiful necklace from Zoe & Piper!

 

It's beautiful and I am so happy to have won it!! I got it in the mail today and couldn't be happier with it!! Thank you so much Kelly & Zoe Piper for such a great prize and for the fun giveaway!! <3

Grilled shrimp soft tacos.. delish!!

These grilled shrimp soft tacos are so yummy & very easy to make. ;)

You will need the following..

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tsp soy sauce (or) teriyaki sauce

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin
2 tbsp lime juice

1 clove garlic (minced)

1 lb cooked shrimp

Corn tortillas

(optional toppings)

red cabbage

cilantro

avacado

onions

Mix your ingredients and marinate the shrimp for about 15-20 minutes.

Grill the shrimp, warm up tortillas, add your desired toppings and.. Enjoy!!

 

Gettin my juice on..

Yep.. I decided it's time to start taking better care of my body. I have always chose to eat a bit more healthy but struggled with the lack of healthy choices in restraunts, grocery stores etc.. and then I went to the Dr and she said I had high blood pressure last year, I cut out all salt and red meats etc.. and then I stopped eating as clean cause I just got burnt out on the same ol foods.

Then a few months ago I went to the Dr again and she said I am VERY anemic. Was it the lack of red meat I had stopped cause I had high blood pressure was I causing my body to lack things trying to heal something else? Idk.. So, anyway.. I got put on some iron pills.. Even tho I feel the iron pills are helping my iron.. I haven't felt the greatest for the past two years.. One seems to be one thing after another these days.. I guess that's the fun of starting your 40's. Well, I am TIRED of hearing this is good for you, oh wait, now it's bad for you etc etc.. Don't eat this.. But eat lots of this then it switches around and it's soo overwhelming and confusing!!

So, I KNOW raw fruits and vegis are good for me.. and I have been reading a lot about juicing and the wonderful health benifits from it.. So, I am ready to take the plung! I am a newbie.. so if any of you are juicers and have some great tips or recipes I would LOVE for you to share.. :)

So I went to Target and grabbed a juicer. It's not an expensive one. Maybe in time I will upgrade to one of the more nicer ones. But, this one will be good for me to begin..

Then off to grab some fresh fruits and vegis.. if you can't get organic, make sure you wash them very good. Wash all of them.

Then find a juice recipe that sounds good to you and juice away..  It's actually fun! This one has some kale, celery, cucumber, mango, pineapple, lemon and some apple. It is higher in sugar than I'd probably like, but I need to ease into the whole juicing thing. lol..It has more vegis than fruit by far. But, it's really good and soo good for you.. I hope I continue in this venture and get my body back to feeling good.

I love going on drives..

I think it reminds me of when I was young.. My dad loved going on drives.. So, on Sunday we went for a drive up to a beautiful Winery/Fruit Stand.. Ohh.. it's sooooo pretty inside. It's called Sumner Peck Ranch.. Everything inside was bright pink and lots of other bright colors.. The grape paintings were soooo beautiful!!! It was a beautiful spring like day.. ahh.. love days like this.. <3
